Big promises? Not our thing. We’d rather show you what actually happens here at the BergBaur.
Up here at 1,030 metres, surrounded by the mountains of Neukirchen am Großvenediger, water, meadows, forests and good food aren’t just a pretty backdrop. They’re part of our everyday life.
That’s why we pay attention to how we use energy, water, food and other resources. No finger-wagging. Just in a way that feels right for us: down-to-earth, practical and step by step.

The BergBaur has been awarded the Austrian Ecolabel and carries the EU Ecolabel for tourist accommodation. A lot of what we do starts right here in the region. Many of our ingredients and food products come directly from local farmers and producers. We’re also members of the local fruit and gardening association, helping to care for plants that preserve the traditional fruit-growing culture of the Oberpinzgau region.
